Clean Energy Podcast Spotlights Offshore Wind’s Significant Potential for the Carolinas | Carolina Long Bay

Jen Banks, TotalEnergies permitting and development director for the Carolina Long Bay offshore wind project, recently sat down for a discussion with Matt Abele, executive director for the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association (NCSEA), to share her insights on the offshore wind industry and the latest activities for the company’s project off the North Carolina coast.Â

The conversation was part of The Squeaky Clean Energy Podcast, which is produced by NCSEA and is designed to provide a fresh take on North Carolina’s evolving clean energy policy landscape. Â

Banks, who has been working in the offshore wind industry for more than 15 years, discussed the importance of this year’s Carbon Plan proceeding for the Carolina Long Bay development and the timeliness of offshore wind to meet the growing energy demands the region is facing. She also spoke to the billions in economic potential the Carolinas can achieve, and the global first-hand offshore wind knowledge the company brings, including through its Attentive Energy project in the New York Bight area.
