Connecting businesses, workers, and communities to billions in infrastructure investment across all five boroughs
STATEN ISLAND, NY — LocalContent.com today announced the public launch of LocalContent.com/NYC, a digital platform that tracks local infrastructure investment needs for local stakeholders and connects businesses, workers, and communities to supplier contracts, local hiring requirements, and community benefit commitments across all five boroughs, actively powering a network of Most Trusted Infrastructure Companies™, certified projects, and regional network partners.
The announcement was made at the North Shore Development & Regional Opportunities briefing, hosted by the Staten Island Industrial Alliance (SIIA) at the Noble Maritime Collection. The event, presented by Northfield Bank, brought together local firms to outline where development is accelerating across the North Shore and how businesses can strategically position for upcoming public and private work. LocalContent.com served as the Compliance and Risk Intelligence Partner for the event.
LocalContent.com/NYC covers nine structured lessons, from defining local content requirements and the three core compliance obligations to navigating project phases, the infrastructure supply chain, and the seven Local Content Standards, to help industry, small businesses, and residents advance infrastructure development together. Infrastructure opportunities tracked by the platform span commercial real estate, energy from offshore wind to advanced nuclear to battery storage, maritime and port development, broadband and data centers, and entertainment destinations including casinos, reflecting the full scope of investment moving through New York City and the region.

An interactive audience selector allows each type of stakeholder, including developers, subcontractors, job seekers, residents, community organizations, investors, and executives, to identify their role and receive direct guidance on how to establish and comply with local content requirements in Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan, The Bronx, and Staten Island.
The platform is powered by LocalContent.com's Regional Network of Anchor Partners across all five boroughs. The Staten Island Industrial Alliance (SIIA) serves as the anchor partner for Staten Island, and the Central Brooklyn Economic Development Corporation (CBEDC) serves as the anchor partner for Brooklyn. Clay Bridges Consulting serves as a strategic partner supporting the full network. Anchor partner expansion across The Bronx, Manhattan, and Queens will be announced this spring.
"With many small trade businesses phasing out, there is a clear need to bridge the gap. LocalContent.com/NYC empowers new, smaller businesses to scale while giving existing businesses a tool to easily navigate this emerging sector," said Nadia Adam, Executive Director of the Staten Island Industrial Alliance.
"LocalContent.com/NYC is not a directory. It is not a job board. It is intelligence infrastructure," said Tenicka Chaney, Senior Director at LocalContent.com. "Every business, job seeker, and community organization that completes the platform knows exactly where they stand, what they qualify for, what to do next, who to trust to work within their community, and what communities to invest in."
LocalContent.com/NYC is live now and free to access with no registration required. Businesses can take the free Local Content Readiness Score to receive a personalized action plan across all seven Local Content Standards. Workers and community organizations can take the Infrastructure Investment Survey to register for hiring opportunities and community investment programs.
Coming this fall, intelligence and insights from LocalContent.com/NYC and LocalContent.com partners in other regions, including New Jersey, Arkansas, Maryland, and the Caribbean, will be featured at the Most Trusted Infrastructure Companies + Projects Trade Show, September 23 to 24, 2026, in New York City. The event will celebrate the best companies and professionals in commercial, industrial, and digital infrastructure, including the 2026 Local Content Power List Honorees.
