Local Content Announces 2027 Global Power List, Opens Nominations Across Ten Regions Through November 13

NOMINATE TODAY

The recognition expands beyond the United States to honor leaders driving measurable supplier, workforce, and community investment outcomes across every major market and industry

New York, NY. Local Content today announced the 2027 Global Local Content Power List, opening nominations across ten regions and eleven industries worldwide for the leaders driving measurable supplier development, workforce pathways, and community investment.

Nominations open June 1, 2026 and close November 13, 2026, with the inaugural global cohort published in January 2027. The 2027 Power List follows the recognition of the inaugural 2026 United States cohort, honored on September 24, 2026 at Lavan Midtown in New York City.

The 2027 Power List will be the first global recognition of its kind, organized across ten regional editions: United States, Canada, Mexico, The Caribbean, Central America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.

Honorees will be recognized across eleven industries that shape the global economy: Utility and Energy, Mining and Resources, Transportation, Ports and Logistics, Broadband and Data Center, Water and Wastewater, Construction, Manufacturing, Defense and Aerospace, Agriculture and Food, Sports and Entertainment, and Tourism and Hospitality. Each regional and industry list is governed by the same editorial standard: measurable, verifiable contributions to local economic outcomes.

Nominations will be evaluated by a committee led by Local Content's Global Ambassadors and Executive Leadership, drawing on regional and sector expertise across the ten editions to ensure each honoree meets the editorial standard for verified local impact.

The expansion reflects a market reality. An estimated 60 to 80 percent of major public-private infrastructure projects worldwide now include Local Content requirements, preferences, or expectations, influencing approximately $2 to $4 trillion in annual infrastructure investment.

"Local content policies have shaped local economies for decades. As we expand the Power List across ten regions, our role as Global Ambassadors is to ensure each honoree meets the standard the work demands. For regulators, local stakeholders, and industry alike, the leaders named to this list will be the ones whose involvement produces tangible local economic impact." Ileana Ferber, MBA, Founder and CEO, Colibri Business Development/Local Content Global Ambassador
