(Burlington, NJ) LocalContent.com announces 2 days of high-impact Local Content offshore wind-focused education and business development events designed to support New Jersey’s ambitious offshore wind energy goals, climate change laws, and industry local content requirements. These events are focused on fostering the use of local services and products from small and diverse businesses, enhancing local workforce training and employment pathways, and investing in community benefits for residents and nonprofits.
New Jersey has made significant strides in offshore wind energy, recently awarding its third offshore wind solicitation, and is actively advancing its fourth and fifth solicitations. These initiatives are part of the state’s commitment to generate 11,000 megawatts of offshore wind energy by 2040, solidifying its leadership in renewable energy and economic development.

“As a New Jersey native and someone who works so closely within the offshore wind industry across the Garden State, while the development of these projects has long lead times it’s impressive that every level of stakeholder gets involved now. We look forward to out of town and local colleges to join us in the beautiful City of Burlington,” said Local Content New Jersey State Director Dwayne Wilkins.”
