Sports Power Infrastructure Seniors, Ages 65+, Turns Older Athletes' Stories and Wellness Into Community Needs Data to Power Local Infrastructure and Workforce Pathways for Teens and Adults

A two part program launches August 1: a storytelling series produced in partnership with media and commerce company Athletes Make The Best, and a free combine day that verifies seniors' strength and wellness.

Sports Power Infrastructure today announced Sports Power Infrastructure Seniors, a two part program for adults 65 and up, opening to the public on August 1.

Part one is Athletes Make The Best Seniors. Every senior has a different story. Some are still working, some are retired, but their path, from student-athlete to adult professional, holds lessons today's workforce needs to navigate legacy and emerging careers in utility, energy, construction, broadband, manufacturing, and transportation. Produced with media and commerce company Athletes Make The Best, this storytelling series puts that experience on camera.

Part two is the Sports Power Infrastructure Senior Combine. The Sports Power Seniors Day gives seniors a safe way to prove their strength, at no cost. Each participant checks in, shares their story, and completes a 20 question quality of life assessment, then an 8 drill circuit adapted from classic combine testing. A Certified Personal Trainer verifies every result, and each senior leaves with a certified Sports Power Rating.

Most communities have no reliable way to measure the strength, mobility, and quality of life of their senior population, and even less data to guide infrastructure and workforce decisions. Teens and young adults have few structured paths into infrastructure careers, and few mentors who've lived that transition. Seniors lose the recognition that comes with being tested and seen once organized sports or work ends.

Together, the two parts solve all three problems. The storytelling series turns experience into workforce guidance. The combine day turns that same story into a verified wellness score. Partners leave with data that can guide infrastructure planning and workforce pathways for teens, young adults, and seniors alike.

Every senior featured in Athletes Make The Best Seniors also gains access to resources that support their daily life. Energy savings programs cover rebates, bill assistance, HVAC upgrades, weatherization, and solar. Broadband and connectivity programs cover affordable internet, devices, and digital skills training. Health and wellness programs cover preventive care, screenings, and support for all ages. Seniors who own a small business also gain access to small business support.

"Growing older shouldn't mean disappearing, and communities shouldn't have to guess what their seniors need," said Tenicka Chanet, Managing Director of Sports Power Infrastructure. "We built a program that gives seniors their story back, and turns it into real pathways for the next generation of infrastructure workers."

Sports Power Infrastructure Seniors is always free for seniors. Government agencies, corporations, health plans, brands, and nonprofits fund each event in exchange for access to a trusted, engaged senior audience and the data the program produces.

Sports Power Infrastructure Seniors is licensed to service U.S. markets through three partners: the SPIN Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Technoforce, a workforce and community development firm, and The Ampersand Group.

Sports Power Infrastructure Seniors opens August 1. Organizations interested in funding an event, and seniors interested in taking the survey, can schedule a call. Learn more and visit https://sportspowerinfrastructure.com/seniors.
