Local Content Ventures Launches Global Venture Development Program to Strengthen Local Economies Worldwide

NEW YORK, NY — Local Content Global Networks™ today announced the launch of Local Content Ventures™, a venture development platform that helps create, grow, and strengthen companies advancing the use of local suppliers, local workforce, and local community benefit investment. Together, these practices are commonly known as Local Content Requirements (LCR), which now apply to an estimated 60 to 80 percent of major public private infrastructure projects worldwide.

Unlike traditional startup accelerators, Local Content Ventures™ has a singular focus on building an ecosystem of founders, business owners, investors, governments, utilities, infrastructure owners, and strategic partners committed to local content readiness, certification, compliance, and trusted third party verification. As part of Local Content Global Networks™, the platform accelerates business growth across the energy, utilities, mining, manufacturing, construction, transportation, maritime, broadband, telecommunications, defense, sports, media, entertainment, tourism, healthcare, education, and infrastructure sectors.

Built on two strategic pillars, Venture Creation and Strategic Acquisitions, the program supports entrepreneurs launching new companies while helping investors and business owners acquire and grow existing businesses that strengthen local economies. Guided by Local Content Intelligence™, the platform identifies supplier, workforce, community benefit, and stakeholder engagement gaps, then connects qualified companies with customers, procurement opportunities, strategic partnerships, certification, market intelligence, and capital.

Accepted companies receive year round access to the Capital. Trust. Power.™ Infrastructure Briefings and Networking Series, connecting founders with investors, governments, procurement leaders, infrastructure owners, and strategic partners. Every founder has the opportunity to earn the Global Local Content Professional (GLCP)™ credential, while participating companies complete Local Content Certification™ to strengthen procurement readiness, reduce project risk, and build trust with customers, investors, regulators, and communities.

Applications are accepted annually from March 1 through December 18, with companies evaluated on a rolling basis. The program culminates with the Local Content Ventures 50™, announced during the last week of January, recognizing fifty of the world's most promising companies advancing supplier development, workforce localization, community benefit investment, stakeholder engagement, and measurable local economic growth.

"Local Content Ventures™ is designed to help communities build the companies they need to compete in tomorrow's economy. By connecting innovation with customers, capital, and trusted partnerships, we are creating a platform where businesses do more than grow. They help strengthen local economies," said Robin Berg Tabakin, Local Content Global Ambassador and Founder and President of Technoforce LLC.
