Nadia Adam is a leading advocate for industrial resilience, supplier inclusion, and community centered development on Staten Island and beyond. As Executive Director of the Staten Island Industrial Alliance, her work is grounded in firsthand experience navigating the challenges small industrial businesses face when trying to access opportunity and scale. Early in her career at May Ship Repair, Adam witnessed the compounded barriers created by market shifts and the financial devastation of Hurricane Sandy, shaping her long term commitment to connecting local suppliers and workers to real projects and sustained economic participation.

Initially focused on offshore wind, Adam has since expanded her leadership across the broader sustainable and renewable energy landscape. As these industries have evolved, she has increasingly engaged in policy advocacy, working closely with agencies and elected officials to advance local hiring, supplier participation, and enforceable community benefit outcomes. Her approach ensures growth does not bypass the communities hosting critical infrastructure.
Looking ahead, Adam sees significant opportunity along the Staten Island shoreline through waterfront infrastructure, maritime investment, and climate resilient development. She is equally focused on addressing the often overlooked succession crisis facing family owned industrial businesses, helping founders prepare earlier to preserve jobs, expertise, and local economic legacy.
