Local Content Power List 2026: Colonel Jeff Cantor, U.S. Army (Ret.)

Return to the Power List homepage

Colonel Jeff Cantor, U.S. Army (Ret.) brings mission-driven leadership and unwavering advocacy to his role as CEO of the New Jersey State Veterans Chamber of Commerce. After spending 32 years in the U.S. Army, Cantor applies the discipline, resilience, and commitment he developed in uniform to advancing economic opportunity for veteran-owned businesses. His core belief is simple and uncompromising: veterans deserve a fair share of procurement opportunities and a clear path to participate in public and private sector contracts.

Today, Cantor works closely with state leadership and administration officials to identify and expand contracting pathways for veteran business owners. His advocacy ensures that veteran entrepreneurs are not overlooked within complex procurement systems and that policies translate into real economic participation. Beyond veterans, he also helped launch the New Jersey Diverse Business Advisory Council, extending his efforts to support small and diverse businesses that have historically been excluded from traditional contracting channels.

Guided by leadership lessons forged through decades of service, Cantor’s approach is defined by persistence and accountability. His work strengthens supplier inclusion, reinforces fair access to opportunity, and reflects a lifelong commitment to ensuring those who served are equipped to succeed in the marketplace.
