Equinor Powers Sports Power Clean Energy In Wyandanch

Reporting by Sports Power Clean Energy
Our Wyandanch Sports Power Clean Energy clinic was powered by our partners at Equinor on July 20th, 2023 at The Wyandanch Family Life Center. Local youth were introduced to:
Home energy efficiency projects that showcased the importance of reducing their carbon footprint.
Offshore Wind 101, learning the basics of how offshore wind components work to ensure an equitable clean energy transition.
We were joined by employees from Equinor’s various offices across the region who volunteered with our student-athletes in both our clean energy and sports programming. Equinor professionals brought years of professional experience to our youth attendees. Early exposure and engagement with industry professionals shape today’s youth for future career pathways into the clean energy industry.
Equinor volunteers included professionals from logistics, engineering, transmission & interconnection, construction, business development, permitting, community affairs, finance, analyst, planning, operational readiness, and executive leadership.
