A major construction project in Brownsville is set to start soon, with a plot of land set to be transformed into a housing and business hub.
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on Monday, marking the start of construction over the next 30 months. The lot will be turned into state-of-the-art luxury apartments, a spa, radio station, restaurant and trade school. Project developers say it will bring business and prosperity to Brownsville residents.
“Not only are we pushing physical, and emotional, and social and mental wellness, but we want this to have wealth-generating opportunities… that stays in the community,” said a representative from developer Glenmore Management LLC, the group behind the project.
The Brownsville Plan aims to build over 2,500 new affordable homes.
