Best Companies To Work With Methodology

Every company on the list receives a Local Content Compliance and Risk Score after completing their Local Content Certification. Certification consists of a 100‑point multiple-choice assessment that takes approximately 15–20 minutes. These scores form the backbone of our methodology, quantifying how organizations perform across supply chain, workforce, community, stakeholder engagement, measurement, communications, and risk.

The assessment serves as our benchmark. Our analysts review each submission, and the Best Companies To Work With™ List is published monthly.

Continuous Improvement
Each year we refine our methodology to more accurately measure the impact companies have on local economies and communities. We purposely exclude symbolic commitments without evidence of delivery. Only verified assessments from our Local Content Compliance and Risk Scores are considered.

Scores range from 0–100 points. Companies are listed by industry focus and score ranking, though individual scores are not published publicly. Every company signs off on the accuracy of its submission.

Why It Matters
Companies that proactively complete the assessment demonstrate measurable economic, workforce, and community impact. These are the organizations regulators, supply chain partners, and local stakeholders can trust and be proud to work with because the Best Companies To Work With operate with proven local economic, workforce, and community impact.
