On Monday, January 5, Athletes Make The Best™ Conversations brings that mindset to New Rochelle Forward, connecting athletic talent to real careers across energy, construction, and the industries that power everyday life. The event is powered by Soulful Synergy.

Athletics is one of the strongest workforce training systems in the country. More than 45 million youth and adults participate in organized sports each year, building habits rooted in discipline, accountability, and teamwork. Employers know it. More than 70 percent of hiring managers prioritize soft skills over technical skills, seeking people who can adapt, communicate, and perform when it matters. Athletes train for that every day.

Athletes Make The Best Conversations was created to turn that preparation into opportunity.

The series features short, professionally recorded conversations with athletes of all levels, from amateur and recreational to collegiate, professional, and retired. Each conversation focuses on transition. When the game changes. When the uniform comes off. When a new playbook has to be written.

This New Rochelle installment puts the spotlight on energy, construction, manufacturing, maritime, ports, and transportation. These are industries built on precision, safety, endurance, and trust. They demand the same mindset athletes bring to training, competition, and recovery. The fit is natural. The opportunity is real.

Each participating athlete will take part in a 10 to 15 minute interview, scheduled within structured one hour recording blocks. The format creates space for conversation, connection, and exposure to leaders who understand how performance translates beyond sport.

The event takes place at New Rochelle Forward, located at 173 Huguenot Street, 2nd Floor. New Rochelle Forward is a workforce development initiative presented by the City of New Rochelle in partnership with Soulful Synergy. The program delivers certification courses, hands on training, career readiness, case management, job placement services, and access to supportive resources designed to help residents compete in a rapidly growing local economy.

Beyond New Rochelle, Soulful Synergy will also be featured at the Infrastructure Supplier Forum within the Workforce and Community Benefit Investment Hub at Lavan Midtown NYC on February 9. The forum convenes developers, investors, prime contractors, OEMs, suppliers, nonprofits, and public sector leaders to expand access to contracts, grants, incentives, tax credits, and public support across multi sector public private infrastructure projects. The forum takes place in partnership with Oceantic Network’s International Partnering Forum (IPF), hosted at the Sheraton Times Square Hotel from February 9 - 12.
