Local Content Ambassador Program Terms & Conditions

The Local Content Ambassador Program (the “Program”) is administered by Local Content (“Local Content,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your application to, and participation in, the Program. By applying to and participating in the Program, you agree to adhere to these Terms & Conditions, which may be updated from time to time without prior notice.

If you have any questions, please submit your request HERE.

General Requirements

To be eligible to apply to and participate in the Program, you must meet all of the requirements below:

  1. You must be at least 18 years old.
  2. You must reside in and advocate for a U.S. community.
  3. You must be authorized to work in the United States.

Acknowledgment

By participating in the Program, you acknowledge, understand, and accept that you are not an employee, consultant, co-venturer, partner, or agent of Local Content or any of its affiliates. The Program is a community advocacy and referral initiative.

You also acknowledge and understand that you are responsible for reporting and paying any United States federal and state taxes in connection with the commissions or rewards you earn under the Program. We may be required to provide you with a United States Internal Revenue Service (“IRS”) 1099 Form.

Rewards and Commission

As a Local Content Ambassador, you will earn rewards and commissions by promoting Local Content initiatives and encouraging local residents and small businesses to participate in compliance advocacy efforts. Specific rewards and commissions include:

  • Reference Code Usage: Provide your unique Reference Code (“Code”) to your community members. When participants register for Local Content programs or services using your Code, they become your “Valid Participants.”
  • Commission Rate: Earn 10% of program or service fees from Valid Participants’ paid registrations, excluding returns, refunds, or adjustments.
  • Tracking and Payment: Rewards are tracked in your Ambassador Account. Commissions may be displayed as “Paid,” “Settling,” or “Pending” and will be reflected on the first day of each month. Commissions will become available for withdrawal after a 35-day waiting period following the transaction.

Withdrawal

You may withdraw your earned Commission if it exceeds $20 and has been Settled in your Ambassador Account. Withdrawal requests must not exceed the total Settled Commissions.

Reference Code Duration

Your Reference Code will remain active for 90 days for each Valid Participant. After 90 days, the Code will be removed, and you will no longer earn commissions from their participation.

Promotion

Local Content Ambassadors must adhere to the following code of conduct:

  1. Disclose your Ambassador status by including “#ad” or similar language in any promotion to comply with Federal Trade Commission regulations.
  2. Do not misrepresent your role as a Local Content Ambassador or promote Local Content under false pretenses.
  3. Do not advertise your Reference Code on coupon or discount websites.
  4. Avoid spamming your Code under other Ambassadors’ social media posts or content.
  5. Promotion via email campaigns is prohibited.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate your participation in the Program and withhold Settling or Pending Commissions if you materially violate these Terms & Conditions. If there is no referral activity on your account for three (3) months, we may terminate your participation without notice.

Changes to the Program, including Commission rates or additional restrictions, may be made at any time. However, changes will not affect Commissions earned prior to the modification date.

You may terminate your participation at any time, and all withdrawals must be requested within 5 business days of termination.

Note: The Program is subject to change or suspension at any time without prior notice.
